Tyrone, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do? this was just the first of many businesses I currently own. fixing phone screen was college students all across the state was just the start of my extensive career as an entrepreneur. I studied everything there was to know about cell phone repair before diving into becoming a cell phone repair technician, ultimately fixing all parts of a phone. one thing I noticed as a college student was most kids would party on the weekend and ultimately crack their phone screens. I also understood that a way to create income is to provide some sort of value, or find a product or service to sell. ![]() I knew that I needed a skill that would pay me more than both of my jobs as well as free up my time. Although I was making money I had no time for anything and my life revolved around constant work and stress. ![]() I ended up landing two jobs, one as a student ambassador for my college, buffalo state college, and another as a after school teacher. bills were due and I had absolutely no money so I had to figure something out and quick. Just like most other kids from the hood I had basketball dreams that deflated pretty quick after getting kicked off two college basketball teams. I started out as a broke college athlete with nothing but basketball dreams. So, we’d really appreciate if you could open up about your execution story – how did you go from idea to execution? We think that’s a disservice both to the entrepreneurs who built something amazing as well as the public who isn’t getting a realistic picture of what it takes to succeed. Too often the media ignores the execution part and goes from idea to success, skipping over the nitty, gritty details of executing in the early days. Coming up with the idea is so exciting, but then comes the hard part – executing. We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tyrone Adeyeye a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
